Strengthens Ties and Honours Northern Region Customers at Appreciation Dinner
in Kitwe
Kitwe, Zambia, April 26, 2025: Chilanga Cement PLC last night held a vibrant Customer Appreciation Dinner at Garden Court Hotel in Kitwe, bringing together its Northern Region customers, partners, and executive team in a heartfelt celebration of collaboration and shared progress.
The event, which drew customers from across the northern region and the neighbouring countries, served as a platform to express gratitude to the individuals and businesses that continue to play a vital role in the company’s growth and success.
Delivering remarks on behalf of Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jianping Chai, Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Ezron Lesa, thanked customers for their continued trust and partnership. “You are not just customers, you are partners. Your support has inspired innovation and fuelled our progress. This evening is a celebration of the strong relationships we’ve built and the bright future we are shaping together,” he said.
Mr. Brian Chen, Executive Assistant for Commercial and Supply Chain, emphasized the company’s commitment to operational excellence, stating, “We know how important your projects are. Our team is dedicated to ensuring timely and hassle-free deliveries so that you can keep building the future you envision.”
The customers, were also briefed on significant developments at the company’s Ndola Plant. Deputy Plant Manager Mr. Nason Kasoma shared updates on the successful commissioning of the lime plant and the ongoing kiln 1 capacity upgrade. “These enhancements are designed to improve our product portfolio, quality, reduce emissions, and ensure a more consistent and reliable supply for our customers,” he noted.
In a show of appreciation from the customer community, local representative Mr. Asif Khalpe of House of Luanshya applauded Chilanga Cement’s responsiveness and professionalism, calling the company a “trusted partner” that continues to stand with its clients through changing market conditions. Export partner Mr. Ben Mutalenu of B-Tech also commended the kiln upgrade, describing it as “a symbol of Chilanga Cement’s commitment to progress, sustainability, and long-term value.”
The Kitwe event is part of Chilanga Cement’s broader efforts to deepen engagement with its customers across Zambia and beyond, celebrate shared achievements, and build stronger foundations for the future.
